The hotel is right in the middle of the very hip Chelsea market area. Tons of restaurants, shopping, piers and the high line were the highlights near the hotel that were a huge plus and the convenience of the subway and bus to travel to anywhere in NYC. It is buzzing always hence pretty safe. The gym and the pool were a huge surprise. Loved both. The lobby is gorgeous. I stayed with my teenage daughters and the nightlife here isn't something that I explored but seemed like a popular place. The room was spacious for the 3 of us and had pretty much everything that we wanted. I have stayed in the area in a different hotel before, I found dream Downtown great value for the money I paid for the stay.

We were upgraded to two rooms with king beds instead of one room with two full beds. The location was terrific. The hotel had a pool, which was ideal in the hot summer months, and cafe with good breakfast food. The staff working the pool area were attentive and always there with complimentary waters. Some guests complained about noise late at night, but we did not hear anything, perhaps because we were at the end of the hallway.

It was really cozy despite there being 2 clubs on site. The hotel looks really cool and futuristic. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, answered my questions and gave recommendations. The pool is fun too and a plus for summer stays

Proximity to our venue was amazingly simple by foot so a huge plus there! Also worked well with after guests at the lobby lounge.

great location, very near to subway. Travelled as a family of 4 with teenagers. Clean & modern interior. Bed was a little uncomfortable, but the shower facilities were excellent. We stayed during the Christmas Break, it was obvious that it was going to be noisy on New Year's Eve and we didn't mind. We were located on the 3rd floor and had no real issues with noise. Didn't use the food facilities at the hotel, put off by the prices. Housekeeping team kept the room well maintained throughout the stay. Friendly staff and felt welcomed.

The property was great! So beautifully designed and nice location. I really enjoyed my stay. Rosie at the desk really made my stay even better. Every time she saw us asked how we were doing. I had booked PHD but at the wrong location she guided us on what to do and I really think she deserves the recognition for going above and beyond. I had a great time at the PHD rooftop because of her!! give that girl a raise .

The hotel itself is really adorable and it's super modern and hip. The entrance is a big wooden door - it took us a while to find it. The lobby is stunning but breakfast isn't provided part of the package even though we stayed at an upgraded suite. But there were tons of options around so it gave us a reason to start our day early. it's super close to Chelsea market and walkable to everywhere else! the staff are soooo nice and friendly and everything was clean and sparkly!

This is a pretty unique hotel! The building itself is amazing with details like portal windows in rooms—which celebrate the buildings original function as the maritime headquarters! The rooftop pool is just spectacular and it’s effect on the lobby below is really wonderful. Honestly the name “Dream” suits it—it really is a dreamy place. And on top of it all was a lovely staff…everyone was so pleasant and professional and we got to leave our bags after check-out so we could explore lower Manhattan. Fabulous hotel!!!
